Ecehan Karacan, born in Aydın, grew up in Bodrum and in Fethiye Saklıkent, a place famous for its bays and natural beauty. Karacan graduated from Bodrum Anatolian Vocational High School' s Yacht Captain program in 1998, making him one of Türkiye’s first graduates in this fiel d. He worked in various charter companies between 1996-2004 and in the Marina Sector between 2005-2015. He completed his associate degree in Anadolu University Touri sm Travel Services and received his li cense in Hospitali ty Management. He obtained a second associate degree in Occupational Safety and Health. Ecehan Karacan is one of the founding members of the Professional Yachtsmen Association (PROYAD), established in Bodrum in 2015. With over 30 years of maritime experience as a Yacht Captain, he has participated in numerous sailing races and gained an important position in the sector through the sail ing traini ng he has provided.
