Ufak Koyu

Ufak Koyu (\"small cove\") is a tiny sheltered anchorage on the Datça peninsula, about 150 metres across at its widest — small enough that the literal Turkish name describes the place. The cove cuts into a wooded shore with a small pebble beach at the head and depths of 4-10 metres over sand patches. The narrow entrance and surrounding cliffs offer shelter from all but a direct northern wind, making the cove a popular quiet alternative to the busier Datça-area anchorages. Only two or three yachts can comfortably swing at anchor at the same time. There is no village, no road access, and no facilities. Ufak Koyu is 90 minutes from Datça by sail. Season runs May through October.

Recommended duration: ideal for 1-2 days
