Folegandros

Folegandros is a small island between Milos and Santorini, with one of the most dramatic Choras in the Cyclades — the village sits on a 200-metre cliff dropping straight to the sea, with no road from the harbour, only a winding stone path. The harbour at Karavostasis is purely functional, but the Chora delivers: three connected plateias under tall bougainvillea trees, a 13th-century Venetian Kastro, and the white-walled Panagia church on a higher cliff above the village. The island stays quiet because there's no airport. Folegandros is 90 minutes from Milos and 2 hours from Santorini. Season runs May through October.
