The harbour at Karavostasis is purely functional, but the Chora delivers: three connected plateias under tall bougainvillea trees, a 13th-century Venetian Kastro, and the white-walled Panagia church on a higher cliff above the village. The island stays quiet because there's no airport. Folegandros is 90 minutes from Milos and 2 hours from Santorini. Season runs May through October.
