Yalıciftlik, Bodrum
Yalıçiftlik is a small village on the south coast of the Bodrum peninsula, between Mazı Bay and the entrance to the Gulf of Gökova. The settlement is little more than a row of summer houses, two restaurants on the water, and a small jetty — but the bay itself is the draw: a long pebble-and-sand beach backed by pines, with shallow water that stays calm even when the meltem picks up. Boats anchor a hundred metres offshore and use the dinghy to come in for meals or a beach walk. Bodrum Town is 60 minutes north by sail, Gökova's deep coves an hour south. Season runs May through October; June and September are quietest.
