Tuzla Bay, Gökova
Tuzla Bay sits at the eastern head of the Gulf of Gökova, where the gulf shallows into a wetland of salt marshes and lagoons that host migratory birds — flamingos in spring and autumn, plus herons and kingfishers year-round. The anchorage is just outside the marsh boundary in 4-8 metres of water, with the dramatic backdrop of the marsh fed by mountain streams. The mineral content of the water is high enough that some boats use it for salt rinse swims. There's no village close by, just a single restaurant 1 km along the coast. Tuzla is 75 minutes from Marmaris. Season runs May through October.
