What is the difference between daily Experiences and Boat Rentals?

Boat rentals offer short term holiday rentals, ranging from 7 nights or more. Daily experiences provide options like booking a coastal tour day trip or hiring a jet ski for a specific time slot in a day.

Why do some dates appear as unavailable on the boats calendar?

Accepted Answer

There could be two reasons for this, either the boat or activity you are trying to book is unable on the dates you have selected, or the boat has a mandatory check in date or a minimum trip length. Most check in dates will be on a Saturday and for a minimum of 7 days. If you are unsure you can always contact the boat owner or concierge team who will assist.

How do I communicate with the hosts?

When you visit a boats listing page, you will see a blue “Contact Host” Button, this will directly link you to the host who is on hand to answer any questions and support with your rental. Be sure to continue your communication through our messaging service throughout the experience to ensure the Boatsy team are able to assist with any possible issues.

How do payments work?

There are two main payment options in the system, depending on the host's preferences. Some boats allow for a partial upfront deposit with the remaining balance due on the day of the trip, while others require full payment upfront. During the payment process, you will see if the host requires a card payment or cash payment for the second installment, if applicable.

Difference between Enquire to Book and Instant Booking

Accepted Answer

If the boat or experience you wish to book is listed as ‘Enquire to Book' on its details page, your reservation will be processed within 24 hours after you complete the enquiry process by clicking the button, and you will be automatically notified. For 'Instant Booking' options, your reservation is usually approved within 2 minutes or automatically confirmed within 24 hours unless the host rejects it for a valid reason.
