This page explains what Boatsy stores when a charter business ("partner") connects its WhatsApp Business account to Boatsy Concierge through Meta's Embedded Signup, what Boatsy stores about the customers who message that business on WhatsApp, and how to have that data deleted. For the general framework on personal data see our Privacy Policy.
DATA WE HOLD FOR A CONNECTED PARTNER
The WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) id, and the phone number id and display number of each connected number.
The business access token Meta issues to Boatsy for that account. It is stored encrypted and used only to send and receive messages on the partner's behalf, to manage message templates, and to read the account's number, health and billing status; it is never shared with third parties.
The name, language and approval state of the message templates Boatsy registers on the partner's account.
The content of WhatsApp conversations handled through Boatsy Concierge, including the messages sent by the partner's AI assistant and staff.
Technical records of connections, disconnections and health checks (time, acting user, outcome).
DATA WE HOLD ABOUT END CUSTOMERS
For a customer who messages a partner on WhatsApp we store the phone number, the name shown in WhatsApp, the conversation with the partner through Boatsy, and the charter enquiry details shared in it (dates, route, group size, budget). This data is processed only to answer that partner's enquiry.
HOW TO REQUEST DELETION
Disconnect from the Boatsy Console: Settings > WhatsApp > Disconnect. WhatsApp messaging through Boatsy stops immediately and the access token is discarded.
Remove Boatsy on the Meta side: in Meta Business Settings > Integrations > Connected apps, remove "Boatsy Concierge". Boatsy receives Meta's notification and treats it as a disconnect.
Email us: write to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request" from the email address registered to your partner account (end customers may write from any address, stating the phone number concerned).
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Disconnecting stops WhatsApp messaging through Boatsy at once. The partner's WhatsApp Business account, number and Meta billing are unaffected and stay under the partner's control in WhatsApp Manager.
Boatsy deletes the access token, the template records and the conversation data covered by the request within 30 days and confirms by email. Where a record must be kept to meet a legal obligation (for example invoicing), we tell you what is kept and why.
Backups are purged on their normal cycle, within 90 days.
