  • Agni Bay is a popular anchorage on the NE tip of Corfu. The S part of the bay has several tavernas with long jetties to anchor a yacht. The depths at the pier ends are 2.5 meters. Yachts usually anchor off in depths of 8 – 10 meters. The holding is good in sand, mud, and weed. The shelter is good from NW winds, but it is open E and S and can be difficult in strong winds.

  • Berthing options on Corfu include the capital, Corfu Town, small harbors of Kassiopi, Petriti, and Palaiokastritsa, and attractive anchorages like Agni, Kalami, Kouloura, Ayios Stefanos, and Ayios Yeoryios.


  • Kalami Bay is a spacious anchorage on the NE tip of Corfu. You can anchor 50 meters off the beach in 5.0 - 8.0 meter depths. It's advisable to take a line ashore to the rocks in the NW corner for better holding.

  • Two reefs on the east side of Paxos pose a potential danger to yachts: Ifalos Paxoi (0.5 mi east of Longos) and Ifalos Panayias (2 mi east of Gaios). West of Paxos' northern tip is Vk Marmaro islet with extensive reefs running NW. Caution is advised while navigating in these areas.

  • Mongonisi is a natural inlet at the extreme S end of Paxos, immediately NW of the tiny islet of Kaltsonisi. The inlet here offers excellent shelter in all but NE winds.
