  • Kumlubük provides all-round shetler except from easterlies. The depths gently shelve and drop to 10 m and the bottom becomes sand. There are two attractive anchorages on the southern shores. You can drop anchor in 10 m and take a line ashore. This anchorage is open to northerlies. 

  • The best shelter is in the northwest corner, off the beach; the bottom is sand and there is 5 to 6 m depth. Boats can be pushed off or anchored with a line ashore. There are several restaurants with piers along the coast.

  • Pay attention to mooring lines distance, Rodos-Marmaris ferry and hydrofoils run daily, they produce considerable waves and the anchorage becomes boomy.

  • Northern Pier: Located on the northern side of Söğüt village, it consists of two restaurant docks and a sliding ramp. The long wooden pier has a mooring capacity for up to 22 boats and offers water and electricity connections. Additionally, anchoring in depths of 10-15 meters is possible here.


  • Botoz Shelter: Positioned to the west, Botoz becomes a sheltered haven due to the presence of rocks. Boats anchor in depths of 4-9 meters in front of the remnants of an old pier, securing themselves with support from the shore.

  • The entry of the bay is wide and there are good depths in the fairway. Care is needed for the reefs, extending from the tip of the points on both sides. 

  • Swells at the entry from the prevailing wind, dies off in the middle then rises up by the beach side.


  • Boats anchor off by the state camping zone in 6-10 m. The bottom is weed and sand. Make sure  you anchor in the sand bottom. You can easily drift if your anchor is in thick weeds. The beach area is cordoned off by the buoys. 


  • Regular minibus services are available to Datca (25 km) and Marmaris (45 km).
