Royal Langkawi Yacht Club

Royal Langkawi Yacht Club sits in the harbour of Kuah, the main town of Langkawi Island in northwest Malaysia, on the Andaman coast just south of the Thai border. The 478-square-kilometre island is the centre of the 99-island Langkawi archipelago and is a duty-free zone — the marina is the standard Southeast Asian yacht-and-megayacht base outside Phuket, with 200 berths plus dedicated megayacht infrastructure. The archipelago lies entirely within a UNESCO Global Geopark for its 550-million-year-old Cambrian limestone karst features — the most-dramatic offshore island is Pulau Dayang Bunting (\"Pregnant Maiden\"), with a freshwater lake inside a 200-metre limestone cliff bowl. Day-sail routes south reach Pulau Payar Marine Park (snorkel cove islets). Langkawi is 90 minutes from Koh Lipe by sail and 5 hours from Phuket. Season runs November through April.

This idyllic beach is known for its crystal-clear waters, soft sand, and breathtaking sunset views, making it a perfect destination for relaxation and water activities.

Visitors can enjoy swimming, jet skiing, parasailing, and beachfront dining, with numerous resorts and restaurants lining the shore. While Pantai Tengah is quieter than its neighbor, it is just a short walk from the vibrant nightlife and shopping areas of Pantai Cenang. Whether you’re looking to unwind under the sun, take a leisurely stroll along the shore, or experience the magic of Langkawi’s sunset, Pantai Tengah provides the perfect setting for a laid-back tropical escape.

Koh Lipe

Koh Lipe (\"Paper Island\" in Malay) sits in the southernmost Thai Andaman, just 15 kilometres north of the Malaysian Langkawi border — a 1.5-kilometre-long island that lies inside the Tarutao National Marine Park. The island has three main beaches: Pattaya Beach on the south (with the ferry pier and the main charter mooring), Sunset Beach on the west, and Sunrise Beach on the east — the last with snorkel access directly off the beach over fringing reef. The single 800-metre Walking Street pedestrian road crosses the island connecting Pattaya to Sunrise. The Tarutao park reefs are protected; the surrounding waters hold the densest tropical fish concentrations in the Thai Andaman. Koh Lipe is 5 hours from Koh Lanta by sail and 90 minutes from Langkawi. Season runs November through April.
