Antalya is the largest city on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, at the head of the Gulf of Antalya at the foot of the Taurus Mountains. The harbour at Antalya Marina holds 220 berths in a sheltered horseshoe basin directly below the medieval Old Town (Kaleiçi) — a 2-kilometre walled quarter of Ottoman wooden houses, Roman city walls, and the 13th-century Yivli Minare mosque. The city serves as the main charter base for the Lycian coast east — day-sail routes reach Phaselis (Roman aqueduct ruins) in 60 minutes south, Kemer in 90 minutes, and Olympos (eternal Chimaera flames) in 3 hours. The newer Setur Antalya Marina at the west of the city offers larger superyacht berths. Antalya is 4 hours from Kemer by sail. Season runs April through October.
