Aquarium Cove sits on the eastern side of Karaada island, off the south coast of the Bodrum peninsula — and the name describes the water exactly. The seabed drops away in sandy steps from 2 to 12 metres with such clarity that fish shoals look like they're hanging in air. The cove is small, sheltered from the meltem by the island's own profile, and almost always carries half a dozen yachts on day-stops.
