Gumbet
Gümbet sits 3 kilometres west of Bodrum town, a 600-metre crescent bay that holds Bodrum's main beach resort district. The cove is shallow at the head with a sand beach backed by hotels, beach clubs, and watersports operators. Charter yachts use the open anchorage in 4-8 metres of sand mid-bay; the western headland holds Gümbet Marina with about 130 berths. The cove is popular with day-tripper boats and is the standard western-edge stop on the Bodrum harbour circuit, with sail access to the central Bodrum waterfront below the Castle of Saint Peter in 30 minutes east. Gümbet is 30 minutes from Bodrum and 60 minutes from Bitez. Season runs May through October.
Recommended duration: ideal for 1 days
