Kiseli Island

Kiseli Island is one of the dozens of small uninhabited islets scattered through Hisarönü Gulf — barely 500 metres across, but enough to create a sheltered anchorage on the leeward side that stays calm even when the meltem picks up. There's no village, no track, no light pollution. Boats anchor in 8-15 metres of water against the rock face, and the snorkelling here is among the better stretches in the gulf — rock-dwelling fish, the occasional octopus, clear visibility on calm days. The island sits within a 30-minute sail of Selimiye and Bozburun, making it an easy detour or overnight stop on any Hisarönü itinerary. Season runs May through October; July is the windiest, June and September the quietest.

Recommended duration: ideal for 1 days
