France

France's sailing coast runs from the glitter of the Côte d'Azur to the wilder limestone of Corsica, and a single charter often touches both. Saint-Tropez, Cannes, and Antibes deliver the postcard Riviera — beach clubs at Pampelonne, harbour-side restaurants, the seasonal yacht parade. Sail an hour south to the Îles d'HyèresPorquerolles, Port-Cros — and the noise drops, replaced by pine forests and protected national-park bays. A 12-hour passage south reaches Corsica's Lavezzi islands and the Bonifacio cliffs. The food is national religion: morning baguette, bouillabaisse in Marseille, rosé from Provence. Season May through October; June and September dodge the August traffic.

Recommended duration: ideal for 7-10 days
