Atokos

Atokos is a small uninhabited Ionian island 6 kilometres east of Ithaca, in the small inner-Ionian cluster between Kalamos and Meganisi. The 4-square-kilometre island is privately owned and uninhabited except for the single white-walled stone One House Bay villa on the north shore — the most-photographed iconic Ionian charter view, the building's plain white wall standing out against an otherwise empty coast. The anchorage at One House Bay on the north and Cliff Bay on the southeast hold the standard Ionian charter day stops, with crystal swimming water in 4-8 metres of sand. Atokos has no road, no harbour, no village, no other building. The island is mainly used as a lunch and swim stop on routes between Meganisi and Kastos/Kalamos. Atokos is 30 minutes from Meganisi by sail. Season runs May through October.

Recommended duration: ideal for 1 days
