Kargı Cove sits on the south side of the Hisarönü Gulf, between Marmaris and the Bozburun peninsula — a deep wooded inlet that cuts 600 metres inland from the open gulf, with pine-covered slopes on both shores and no road access. The seabed reaches 12-18 metres of sand and weed, with good holding for overnight stops and shelter from the prevailing summer northwesterlies. Several sub-coves branch off the main inlet, including Çeti Suyu at the head, with cold freshwater springs that emerge into the bay. The cove is one of the standard overnight anchorages on the Marmaris–Bozburun–Datça route, used by gulets and sailing yachts when the wind picks up in the open gulf. Kargı Cove is 2 hours from Marmaris and 90 minutes from Selimiye by sail. Season runs May through October.
