Mugla

Muğla is the southwestern Turkish province that holds the four main charter bases on the Turkish coast — Bodrum, Marmaris, Göcek, and Fethiye — across 1,100 kilometres of indented coastline from the Aegean to the Lycian Mediterranean. The province includes the Gökova Gulf (Cleopatra Beach, Sedir Island), the Hisarönü Gulf (Bozburun, Selimiye, Datça), the inner Fethiye Gulf (Twelve Islands, Göcek anchorages), and the open Lycian coast east of Fethiye (Kaş, Kalkan, Patara). The capital town Muğla itself sits 30 kilometres inland in the mountains, with Ottoman-era wooden houses and a daily market. Muğla holds the highest concentration of yacht charter bases in Turkey. Standard routes are 7-10 days. Season runs April through October.
